2023 Cawsey Nursing Education Award Winner

Recognizing the critical role nurses play, Emery and Geraldine Cawsey established the annual Nursing Education Award in 2018. It’s presented annually to a 4th year Nursing Student in recognition of the instrumental role Nurses play in the care of our families, friends, and loved ones.

This year, the Cawsey's were thrilled to present the award to Kristina Ummenhofer, a passionate and dedicated student who understands first-hand the importance of nursing in Northern BC, and the region’s unique healthcare needs. Kristina has spent time working throughout the North and looks forward to continuing her career here.

We're proud to stand alongside dedicated students and generous supporters, working together for better healthcare outcomes in our region.
