Festival of Trees Countdown Now On!

In just less than two months, the Civic Centre will be transformed into a winter wonderland as the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation’s 22nd annual Festival of Trees kicks off November 20-29th.

Earlier this year, Spirit of the North set a goal of having 100 decorated trees on display during the event as a way to celebrate Prince George’s centennial anniversary. In order to make this goal a reality, the Festival Committee has put together tiered sponsorship options, so everyone, on any budget, can take part.

“We are at the half way point” says Festival Coordinator, Shirli-Gene Sadowick “over 50 trees have been confirmed. Some sponsors are new; others have been with us since the start. We really encourage your business, organization, class, sports team or family to play a part in Festival this year. Show your community pride, by taking part in this annual family tradition.”

We are also excited to bring Prince George a whole new level of online information.  This month we will be launching a brand new website focussed strictly on Festival of Trees (more to come on that soon!). The new website, along with  our Facebook page ( www.facebook.com/FestivalofTreesPG ) will ensure everyone knows what’s going on during Festival.

Tickets for all events such as the Fashion Show, Senior’s Tea/ Lunch and brunches go on sale at the Spirit office on October 1. General Admission will be available at the door during the 10 day event.

Our volunteers, sponsors and donors are vitally important to the success of this magical event and the work of Spirit of the North. Without their generous support, we would not be able to carry out our mandate of bringing the best of care closer to home for patients in the North.

Don’t miss out.  The deadline for tree sponsorship is October 23, 2015; if you would like to sponsor a tree, have questions or would like to play a role in Festival, please contact the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation office at  250-565-2515 .
