Cougars Mega 50/50 will Fund New Ultrasound for Radiology Intervention Suite

Come take a walk through our much needed Radiology Intervention Suite which is decreasing OR wait times and changing treatment from cardiac to cancer and everything in between.

There are so many times, we fund equipment that benefits patients, physicians, and healthcare professionals but we don’t always get the opportunity to see it in operation.

That was until today….

Spirit of the North was invited into the Interventional Radiology Suite by Dr. Patel and her team to witness the difference a more specialized ultrasound can mean for patient treatment and care.

The Philips EPIQ Elite Diagnostic Ultrasound System will be funded from the proceeds of the Prince George Cougars Hockey Club Mega 50/50 which means that we are saving thousands of patients from potentially having to go to the O.R. or be sent to the lower mainland for treatment.

This is fantastic news, and we want to share the immediate benefits of this state-of-the-art machine.

-The wait time for procedures will be greatly reduced.

- There will be less risk of infection and complications.

- You or your loved ones will have shorter hospital stays as the new ultrasound machine will help eliminate the need for invasive surgery in many cases.
