Bike-A-Thon
thank you for participating in the 13th annual bike-a-thon
TOGETHER IN 2024 WE RAISED $42,243.51
WHAT AN INCREDIBLE RIDE!
This year marked the 13th annual Punjabi Senior Society Bike-a-thon, and once again, our amazing riders made the trek out to Purden Lake in support of cardiac care in our region. We are absolutely thrilled to share that this year’s event blew all expectations out of the water—raising an incredible $42,243.51! That’s over $10,000 more than last year!
The funds raised through this event are directed towards cardiac care, supporting the purchase of vital equipment and initiatives that help improve the lives of patients throughout Northern BC. Your generosity ensures that when someone’s heart needs help, the tools, technology, and care are there—close to home.
To the Punjabi Senior Society, every dedicated cyclist, and every single person who donated or supported this event: thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The impact you continue to make is powerful, and we are so grateful for your commitment, energy, and heart.
Here’s to 13 years of riding strong—and many more to come!

Initiated in 2010, this ride has made an incredible impact on healthcare in the North. The funds raised have played a pivotal role in supporting our areas of greatest need, including our regional Cardiac Campaign, Optos OCT-SLO for the eye clinic, Spect CT Scanner, and a Dedicated Maternal Operating Room.
“We are truly grateful for the generosity and ambition shown for healthcare by everyone. Each year, the Bike-A-Thon continues to direct their donations to an area of greatest need, and focusing on healthy messages to youth is ideal. Our hope is that what is learned through this program is retained and shared with family and friends so that everyone benefits from great lessons learned at a young age.” – Aimee Cassie, CEO
“It is important that the money raised stays here locally to help, and that our event draws the community together. I would like to say a special thanks to Dr. Mann. I couldn't do the event without him, and thank you to all of the participants who help us and work hard on this." - Gordie Powar, Bike-A-Thon Coordinator
