McHappy Day is a national day of giving, where a portion of all food and beverage sales at McDonald’s supports Ronald McDonald House Charities and local children’s health initiatives.
We’re grateful that in Northern BC, funds raised now stay local, supporting the Ronald McDonald House Family Room at UHNBC through Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation.

Every order helps support families with sick or injured children, and while the campaign is national, its impact is deeply local.
The Ronald McDonald House Family Room at UHNBC, which is the first official RMHC Family Space in Northern BC, offers families a place to rest and regroup just steps from where their child is receiving care.
Located near the pediatric, NICU, and maternity units, the space allows families to stay close, take a break, and access support throughout the day without leaving the hospital.
For families travelling from outside the region or facing extended stays, this kind of space can make all the difference. This space exists because of community support.
Through the partnership of local McDonald’s restaurants in Prince George and Vanderhoof, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Northern Health, and Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation, the Family Room continues to provide meaningful support to families across Northern BC.
