Over $85,000 Raised on McHappy Day — Thank You, McDonald’s!
We are feeling incredibly grateful following this year’s McHappy Day.
Thanks to the generosity of our community and the commitment of local McDonald’s restaurants in Prince George, more than $85,000 was raised in support of families across Northern BC. Of that total, 25% will directly support our littlest patients at UHNBC with the addition of a new head and neck coil for the MRI team.
Every order made on McHappy Day helps care for children and families facing some of life’s toughest moments. While this campaign is national in scope, its impact is deeply local.
Right here at UHNBC, the Ronald McDonald House Family Room offers families a place to rest and regroup just steps from where their child is receiving care. Located near the pediatric, NICU, and maternity units, it allows families to stay close, take a break, and access support throughout the day without leaving the hospital.
For those travelling long distances or facing extended stays, this space can make all the difference. And it exists because of you.
Through the shared commitment of local McDonald’s owners, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Northern Health, and Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation, this support continues to reach families when they need it most.
