Established in 2018, the Emery and Geraldine Cawsey Nursing Education Award reflects Emery and Geraldine Cawsey’s deep appreciation for the nursing profession and their desire to support students entering their final year of nursing studies.

This one-time $1,000 nursing education award is available to a third-year nursing student who demonstrates compassion, commitment, and a strong dedication to nursing care. The award is administered by Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation and is paid directly to UNBC to support fourth-year tuition.

Applications must be submitted by March 31, 2026, and include a letter outlining the applicant’s passion for nursing and demonstrated financial need.
