Honoring the Legacy of Norma Morgan
Honoring a Legacy: Gitwinksihlkw Community Supports Peritoneal Dialysis Patients in Memory of Norma Morgan
At Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation, we are deeply moved by the remarkable generosity of the Gitwinksihlkw community, who recently came together to make a meaningful difference in honor of Norma Morgan.
Norma was a peritoneal dialysis patient for 13 years, and her strength, courage, and commitment to her health left a lasting impression on all who knew her. To celebrate her life and legacy, the community of Gitwinksihlkw made a heartfelt donation that will have a direct and lasting impact on patient care.
Thanks to their support, a new stats machine has been purchased for the Peritoneal Dialysis Clinic—an essential piece of equipment that will enhance care delivery and improve patient outcomes for years to come.
We extend our sincere thanks to Irene Squires, Lena Griffin, and the many individuals from Gitwinksihlkw whose contributions made this gift possible. Your kindness not only honors Norma’s legacy, but also ensures that patients continue to receive compassionate and high-quality care.
A special thank you goes to Karen for her dedication and for helping bring this project to life.
From all of us at Spirit of the North—thank you. Your generosity is felt deeply and continues to inspire meaningful change in healthcare across the region.
