New ICU Family Space Opens at UHNBC

A new space at UHNBC is now open, providing comfort and support for families of patients in the Intensive Care Unit.

Designed as a calm and welcoming environment, this space offers families a place to gather, reflect, and find moments of peace while remaining close to loved ones receiving critical care.

Developed in collaboration with Northern Health, the space was created in response to a clear need: ensuring families have somewhere to pause, recharge, and stay connected during some of life’s most difficult moments.

Now open and in use, this space is already helping support families when they need it most.

This is the impact of community support: creating environments that care for patients and the people who stand beside them.
