A New Chapter of Comfort and Care Begins at UHNBC
Today marks the opening of the first Ronald McDonald House Family Room at UHNBC: a space made possible through partnership, generosity, and a shared belief that Northern families deserve support close to home.
What was once a family room in need of some TLC has been transformed into a warm, welcoming place where parents and caregivers can step away, take a breath, and find comfort while caring for a child in hospital, right when they need it most.
This new Family Room offers families a supportive space to rest and regroup, knowing they are not alone during an incredibly challenging time. It’s a reminder that care isn’t only about medical treatment . Care is also about compassion, comfort, and community.
Thank you to the local McDonald’s restaurant teams in Prince George and Vanderhoof, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Northern Health, and every donor who helped bring this vision to life. Your support turned an idea into something meaningful for families across the North.
A proud day for UHNBC, and for Northern BC families.
